Known as the Seven Years' War. French were fighting with the British. French wanted to keep British traders out from the Ohio River Valley and control the trade. British won but gained debt. -

The declaration of Britain's win over the French. French land was given to the British. British North American colonies size had doubled. -
Proclamation of 1763
British government didn't want colonists to go beyond the Appalachian Mountains. Colonists didn't listen. -
Boston Massacre
An argument turned into a riot causing the crowd to go upon the British soldiers. British soldiers shot fire into civilians. Gave a reason for the American Revolution. -
The Boston Tea Party
Men dressed up as Indians go unto ship to destroy tea. They had were destroying tea because they were protesting against the Tea Act of 1773. The British closed Boston Harbor from trading. -
Continental Congress
The first Continental Congress was created. A government that would govern over the American colonies. -
The battles of Lexington and Concord
Known as the "Shot heard round the world." British soldier march to Lexington to get hidden weapons, but waiting for them are colonial militiamen. Somebody fires a shot causing the battle. Then British soldiers march to Concord. Colonists find the British on the bridge and a battle happens. The colonist won on the Concord Battle. -
The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was made by the 13 colonies announcing their independence from Britain. Thomas Jefferson had drafted the Declaration of Independence. 56 delegates had signed the Declaration of independence. -
The Treaty of Paris (1783)
Ended the Revolution with Great Britain. Signed by the U.S. and British Representatives. Was a peace treaty and was ratified on January 14, 1784. -
Constitution
Declaration of the States principles and laws. Constitutional Convention hosted in Philadelphia was a convention to create a decree by using the Articles of Confederation. James Madison emergences by finishing the Constitution.
