    The First Fleet Arrives lead by Captain Arthur Phillip

  • Tasmania

    A new colony is made in Tasmania. It is set up for the worst criminals

  • Governor Maquarie

    Lachlan Maquarie establishes the colony's first official police force.

  • The Bank of NSW

    The bank of NSW is established and now known as Westpac

  • The Gold Rush

    Gold is found near Bathurst. The first Gold Rush commmences.

  • Bushrangers

    Many people were ambushed on their way in and out of Bathurst. Two of the most notorious bush rangers include Ben Hall and Ned Kelly.

  • Federation

    Australia becomes a Federation. The Commonwealth is born and it is now officialy Australia
