    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 was put into place after the French and Indian war. It made so that colonist could not go and use the land that the British gained from the French.

    This act placed a large tax on sugar, molasses, and other foreign goods that didn't come from Britain.
  • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    This Act made it so that the colonists money could not be used to pay British merchants or taxes. Which mean the colonists where going to have to use British money to pay for everything. This did not go over well with the colonists.
  • Stamp Act

    This act was passed to make colonists have to pay for a stamps on newspapers and legal documents. This was really just another way for the British to make money off of the colonists.
  • Quartering Act

    This act did not allow British soldiers to stay in private homes, but in barracks. These barracks were paid for by the colonists. They also had to pay for anything else the soldiers needed.
  • Declaratory Act

    The British replied the Stamp Act. They did this because merchants were starting to lose money, which meant that soon they would too.
  • Townshend Act

    This act placed a tax on glass, lead, paint, and tea. All imported goods from the British.

    Colonist and British soldiers were having an argument. When colonists started to throw snowballs, stones, and sticks. Thats when the soldiers started to shot, and 5 colonists died.

    The sons of liberty wanted to boycott the British, so they threw the British tea that they had just got into the Boston harbor.

    Theses were four different laws that the British passed to punish the colonist for the Boston Tea Party.

    This Act allowed Colonist to go pass the province of Quebec. The proclamation act was replied.

    This act allowed royal governors to chose were British solider would stay. Colonial legislatures no longer had a say.
