    The French and Indian war had recently just ended. British gave Americans partials of land west of the Appalachian mountains. The British drew a line that would cut off any Westwood expansion by the Native American colonies therefore were the line was drawn one side was reserved as to be there land and the other a boundary they couldn’t cross.king Gorge thought he could contain the colonists settlements but he couldn’t contain their freedom.
  • Sugar Act 1774

    The Sugar Act was passed by Parliament of Great Britian. The Sugar Act was as a revenue as to the debt from the French and Indian war. Although the Sugar Act was taxing upon sugar, they ended up making a list of taxable items for example wine, cloth, coffee and tropical foods and silk.

    Parliament addresses the colonial inflation. though this inflation was caused by the French and Indian war and how they were left in debt therefore this discouraged trade because parliament is the one responsible that regulates trade. this act prevented any form of paper money to be printed. This prohibited all colonies to print their own money though with this the colonists became upset.

    The Stamp Act was an Act that required any form of paper to get a stamp on it making colonists pay for these stamps on for example newspapers, playing cards and dices but these are just a few examples. The colonists did not like this because there were being taxed on many things and not even providing them with representation as to why therefore there's when "No Taxation Without Representation" comes into effect because it shown here.

    The Quartering Act was an act upon how the colonists had to provide a home or shelter of any kind to a soldier and allow them to eat, shower and even sleep at your own home. Though with this the colonists were not pretty big fans upon this because they viewed it as an invasion of privacy to themselves and their home.

    This act permitted and stated Parliament to have control on colonies by making their laws and also taxing them on top of that and so due to that Parliament was once again threatening their rights as people.
  • Townshend Act

    This was an act that once again taxed the colonists for example on paper, tea, paint, and glass though this wasn't appreciated by the colonists, so they began to boycott the goods from Britian.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre is to be seen and viewed as a very vicious fight although this began at first as just a street fight there were many deaths and even small to big injuries. Though with this harsh fight colonists were really upset, and they began to protest against these taxes.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea party was used to let Britain know that the colonists were done with them being taxed for example some Mohawk Indians boarded 3 British ships and then sailed further in the water to dump 342 chests of tea into the water. therefore, with this it really showed how much anger the colonists had and how they were just fed up with being taxed without representation.

    Intolerable acts
    This Act was to get back and punish upon the colonists for what they had done from the Boston tea party. therefore, parliament passed some laws that would allow soldiers to invade the houses of colonists therefore no privacy. Though with this the colonist responded by having the first continental congress.
  • Quartering Act 1774

    this act created more of a stable method for housing for British soldiers that were currently stationed in America. though through the colonial response to this was of course negative due to invasion of privacy.

    the Quebec act allowed Quebec to have government and council, and a vast amount of territory which the French Canadians have lost, and the colonists were feared by this because they were afraid that the French were going to get back
