    British Discovery of Australia
    1770 – British Discovery Of Australia, in 1768, Lieutenant James Cook was sent to observe the transit of veins (An Astronomical event) for Tahiti. He found the south-eastern corner on the 20 April 1770. 9 days later he found Botany Bay, which he thought could be a great harbour. When he came onto land he raised the British flag claiming the continent from the British Empire.

    At Myall Creek in New South Wales, Australia, about 30 unarmed Aboriginals were murdered by 12 settlers, the settlers captured them at a station that they were staying at, tied them up together and took them to a nearby gully where they slaughtered them, This is a significant time in the history of Australia as it is a disturbing example of the treatment of the Aboriginal people at that time.

    The Eureka Stockade was a stockade built by agitated miners on the gold fields of Ballarat. The miners were agitated by the unfair rules and regulations on the gold fields that were imposed by the government so they built a stockade to protect themselves from soldiers and police officers. On the morning of December 3, 176 military personal attacked the stockade. They overran the miners who had a little fighting skill. Some people view this incident as the birth democracy in Australia
