The Iron Act
This act eliminated taxes paid by Britain on iron imported from its American colonies. The American colonies didn't like it because it stopped the establishment of production facilities on their own land. -

It was a 9 year war fought between France and Great Britain. It determined the control over the colonial territory in North America. The war ended in a British victory, but was a very costly war in which they had to dig themselves out of debt. -

It was a confrontation in which the British soldiers shot and killed several people while being harassed by a mob in Boston. -
The Boston Tea Party
It was an American political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts. The target was the Tea Act which allowed the British East India Company to sell tea from China in America colonies without paying taxes. -
The American Revolutionary War
It was also know as the American War of Independence. It was initiated by the delegates of the 13 colonies in Congress against Great Britain over the their objection to Parliament's taxation policies and lack of colonial representations. The colonies were left to govern themselves since the 1600's. -
President George Washington
He was an American political leader, military general, statesman, and Founding Father who served as the first President of the United States. He led Patriot forces to victory in the nation's War for Independence.
