  • Iroquois Face Extinction

    In 1701 The Iroquois were forced to make peace with the French. Over the past previous 20 years, they had been at warfare with the French and their allied tribes. They had destroyed their crops and villages, infected them with diseases, and reduced their male population by almost a third.
  • Slave Revolt

    In 1712 a slave revolt started were a group of African Americans went around killing whites for the brutal treatment they had given them.
  • Parliament Creates an Optional Route Other than Prison

    in 1717 Parliament made a new law that people who were convicted to prison could take another optional route and go to the colonies.
  • Georgia Colony was Founded

    In 1733 the southern Georgia Colony was established. Georgia had fertile lands which was great for growing crops.
  • Stono Rebellion

    Another Slave Rebellion was the Stono Rebellion. It sparked a big motivation for slaves to try to fight their way out of slavery.
  • Parliament passes the Naturalization Act

    In 1740 Parliament passed the Naturalization Act which made it so that only white immigrants could become citizens.
  • French and Indian War

    In 1756 the French and Indian War started and it would continue for the next 7 years. This war was mainly over a territorial dispute in Ohio.
  • Boston Massacre

    In 1770 the Boston Massacre was the first deaths of the war. There was a miscommunication where a soldier thought he had heard his general say fire and shot a killed a man, but the general stated he had said nothing.
  • The siging of the Declaration of Indepence

    On July 4, 1776, the colonies wrote the Declaration of Independence which stated the colonies were free of Great Britain's grasp.
  • Treaty of Paris

    On September 3, 1783, The Treaty of Paris was signed which ended the American Revolution.
