1765 Act(s)
Many different acts took place in 1765, some of the most crucial being: The Currency Act (Forbid local currency to be used in colonies, which caused colonists to later complain), The Quartering Act (Required colonists to host troops in their homes and provide whatever needs necessary), and The Stamp Act (revenue tax on colonies, which put a tax on things such as newspapers, public office appointments, diplomas, bonds, etc.). -
Boston Massacre
In Boston, Massachusetts, local men began to taunt British soldiers by throwing snowballs at them and calling them names. These soldiers had enough of this disrespect and one of them yelled "fire!" which resulted in 5 men killed and 11 brutally injured. -
Continental Congress
Met because they wanted to achieve many of the same goals including the idea to get rid of the Intolerable Acts. Together, they wrote a Declaration of Rights and agreed to later meet again if these issues had not been resolved. -
Battle of Trenton
In this battle in the Revolutionary War, Washington's troops were finally successful in pushing the British troops back to New Brunswick. In horrible weather conditions, General Washington and his troops were forced to cross the freezing Delaware River in order to surprise the British on the other side. -

The first 10 amendments of the US constitution that guaranteed freedoms such as freedom of speech, religion, assembly, etc. which have shaped America into what we know our country as today. -
Fugitive Slave Act
This act required American citizens to return any runaway slaves. This Act began to pave the war for the American Civil War.
