This is an example of Chief Diplomat because it was very important to foreign affairs and trade between nations. Also, it's a treaty between The U.S and Panama and would open negotiations.

    Theodore Roosevelt was in the Rough Riders Reunion Parade. He greeted the citizens of San Antonio, Texas as a part of his Chief of State duties. He was part of the Rough Riders before he was president.

    President Theodore Roosevelt choose Charles W. Fairbank as his vice president. Charles was a key adviser to President McKinley and a Senator from Indiana. This shows Roosevelt being a political party leader because he choose the vice president that would be perfect for his party's platflorm.
