Executive Order
Bush designated the African Union as a public international organization. He did this so they could have certain privilages, exemptions, and immunities for them. This is an Executive Order because the President made an organization to help out the community. -
Head of Political Party
When Bush was elected to run for presidency in 2000, for the Republican Party, he chose Dick Cheney to run with him as Vice President. This choice was a Political Party decision because their opinions and views on things represent those of the repuplican people. Bush had to choose a good person who would help carry out their opinions. -
Chief Executive
Rice was elected by Bush as Secretary of State. This was a Chief Executive decision because it is his responsibility to elect high hanking officails. Therefore, this is important because Bush is the only one who can elect these high ranking officials and we need them in our government. -
Most Important Event Wile in Office
9/11 is the most important event that occured while Bush was in office. This is so important because it was it was an National Emergency. Bush ordered alot of fire fighters and ambulances to come to the scene and help out. There were 3,000 victims of this awful, tragic experience. This is the worst thing that happened in our life-time. Chief of Diplomat
Russia and Bush signed a nuclear warhead treatie. This treatie stated that both countries had to limit the warheads to 1,700 and 2,200. This was a Diplomatic decision because Bush signed a treaty with a foreign country. When treaties are signed with foreign countries it is diplomatic. -
Commander and Chief
George Bush sends troops to Iraq almost a year after 9-11. One of the president's roles is to be Commander and Chief. Commander and Chief can make any desicion for the army and troops. Therefore, since Bush sent hundred's of thousands of soilders to Iraq, he made a Commander and Chief desicion. -
Chief of Legislative
Congress passed a law to do educational research and conduct studies without the consent of the Secratary of Education. However, Bush made it so that there would be supervision made by the Secretary of Congress. This is a Chief of Legislation decision because this was a law that was passed by Bush that would affect the research being done. -
Chief of State
Bush throws first pitch at opening day with Washington Nationals vs. Atlana Braves. This is a Chief of State decision because the State goes out in to the public and greets them. It was the start of the new baseball season.
