Mayflower/Plymouth/Mayflower Compact
In September 1602, a trading ship was loaded with 102 passengers who set sail from Plymouth, England in search of a new start. Upon arriving in Plymouth, named after the port they departed from, the Pilgrims were in the wrong place. So in order to establish themselves as a colony they assembled the Mayflower Compact.
