They were planning to go to Jamestown but landed in Cape Cod instead. They later traveled to Massachusetts Bay, to a rocky harbor called Plymouth,, Plymouth Rock was then established. New England Colonies
Governor William Bradford held a celebration feast. The Celebration Lasted 3 days. This began a tradition that is now called Thanksgiving. Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire colonies were established. -
Middle Colonies
William Penn was given the land that was southwest of New Jersey. It was later called Pennsylvania, Other Middle Colonies were also established such as New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. Middle Colonies were the most favorited because they were in the middle of all of the colonies. They were known for producing Iron and being the "Bread Basket," colony. They learned how to communicate with the Native Americans so they could trade with them.
