LinkThe so called Bonus Army was formed when the senate would not pay War World l veterans their cash bonus that they were supposed to receive. The veterans were not to get this bonus until 1945. When the Great Depression began all of that changed. The veterans had no work and had families to provide for so they demanded their bonus immediately. Up to 15,000 marched there way up to Washington on May of 1932. -
Roosevelt is Inaugurated

When Franklin Roosevelt became president on March 4 ,1933 America was in a state of despair. The Great Depression left millions of Americans workers without jobs.
