Nazi invasion of Poland
In August of 1939 the Germany-Soviet Pact was made, which gave Germany the oppurtunity to invade Poland without hurting Soviet ties. In this invasion Germany raided into Poland marking the start of World War II. The actual invasion ended on October 6, 1939. As a result Poland was divided and annexed as a whole by Germany and the Soviet Union. -
Germany invades Denmark and Norway
Code name for this invasion was Operation Weserubung, which was the opening act to the Norweign Campaign. Germany invaded these two territories because it was rumored that France or Britain may come and take control of this territory. The Germany forces would protect these two areas from the attacks if any occured. -

First Atomic Bomb on Japan
On July 26, 1945 the US bascally told Japan to surrender in the Postdam Declaration. The Japanese government payed no mind to this Declaration. Next month by executive order of President Truman, the US dropped their nuclear weapon nicknamed "Little Man" on the city of Hiroshima. -
