George Eastman Commits Suicide

Link George Eastman, inventor and founder of the Eastman Kodak Company, commits suicide by shooting himself in the chest. Eastman had suffered from a painful spinal disorder the last two years of his life and in his suicide note he wrote, “My work is done. Why wait?” Eastman’s inventions modernized photography and made it accessible to the masses.
