The child begins to turn several pages of a book at a time they also may walk alone or while holding a cargivers hand, Picks up small objects with thumb and forefinger, sits down without help,moves object from hand to hand, slides down stairs backward one step at a time. -
1 year Social Development
Play alone but often near others, Dislikes sharing toys, desires approval, fears some strangers. -
1 year Intellectual Development
Begins to put two words together, Names common objects & people, Understands "no" but ignores, Finds hidden objects. -
age 1 Piaget
Children learn their senses & own actions -
1 year Self feeding
They eat finger foods such as bananas, they use training cups & begin to use a spoon. -
1 year social patterns
They understand that their actions have consequences, Their may be conflicts over toys that result in screaming biting hitting or hair pulling. -

They become self centered, Cares about only ones needs, think there more important then others. -

18 months Physical Development
Stacks from two to four blocks & begins to walk well, grasps crayons with a fist and scribbles, jumps in place, climbs up or down stair, pull toys with wheels -
2 years of age
Can stack 6 blocks & walks with more coordination & confidence,turns one page of a book at a time, picks up objects from the floor without losing balance, jumps off bottom step, pushes self on wheeled toys. -
2 years Social Development
Engages in parallel play, plays simple games with others, bosses other children, says "please" if prompted. -
2 years Intellectual Development
Uses two-to-three word sentences, knows about 500 words, Follows simple directions, identifies colors. -
2 years Piaget
Children think in terms of their own activities & what they percieve at the moment. -
2 years self feeding
They learn to use a fork, Learning to feed themselves, Still developing Fine Motor Skills & Should eat the rest of the family. -
Age 2 Social patterns
They can read there cargivers moods, They find it fun to play with someone else but they still engage in parallel play, They know what kind of behavior there caregiver will accept. -

The negativism that characterizes the emotional development, The child may refuse to do anything at all for one person, Children begin the rights of others. -
age 2 Emotional
Speech & motorskills improve, They understand more & are able to wait longer, They express love & affection freely & seeks approval & praise. -
2 1/2 Emotional
Not easily distracted, The child may feel overwhelmed & frustration becomes anger. -
2 1/2 Physical Development
stacks eight blocks, screw lids on & off containers, draws circles and horizontal and vertical lines, alternate feet going upstairs but not going down, runs but may not be able to stop smoothing, Throws a ball over head but innaccurately. -
3 years of age Physical Development
Stacks nine to 10 blocks, cuts with scissors, draws reconizable pictures, jumps up and down in place with both feet, Catches a ball with arms straight, Rides a tricycle. -
3 years Social Development
Takes part in brief group activities (cooperative play), Take turns, likes to help, shows affection -
3 years Intellectual Development
Uses longer sentences, knows about 900 words, Follows two-part directions, Sorts by color and shape -
3 years Self Feeding
They know how to use a fork and spoon, They have a full set or primary teeth & Should be able to chew all food. -
3 Years Social Pattern
Begin cooperative play, play in small groups, Do things another persons way just to please them, They still care for their cargivers but no longer in their social life. -
