Tuscarora War
By 1711, Tuscarora frustrations boiled over, and they began attacking settlers. Troops from North and South Carolina joined the fight, and hundreds of people were killed on both sides in what became the Tuscarora War. Defeated in 1715, most Tuscaroras left the area. -
North and South split
By 1712, North and South Carolina had split apart, with each having a separate governer because th province's government struggled to control the entire region. -
