The Purchase
Cristoforis pianoforte was slow to catch up in italy but then hope emegerd when Queen Maria Barbara de Braganza of Spain five of them.

Gottfried Silbermann, The Court Organ Builder
Silbermann began working on his own pianos (from the designs of Cristofori) where he was more successful in making and in selling that King Fredrick the Great of prussia was said to have bought fifteen!
The Imapact it made was that he insured the survival of the piano since at this time Cristofori had died -
The Damper "Pedal"
It created by Gottfried Silbermann. It wasnt a pedal at all but a device that was placed on your hande instead of how we use it now as a pedal.
The impact this left was that the main purpose of the pedal is to allow the player to play smoothly connected notes so how can one do this when it is on your hand you would have to stop playing to do this which ruins its purpose. so it helped because it made someone else realize that it would be eaiser if it is pressed on by your feet. -
Johann Andreas Stein of Augsburg, A New Creator
Stein is the creater of a new type of piano which is called the "Viennese" piano that was the most praised in germany including mozart.
The changes it brought was that now there are new brands of pianos and it was one step to closer to creating the modern piano. -
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Is another one of the most influencial piano player and great composer. A piece you might now but not know that he did was the Eine kleine Nachtmusik (look it up if you dont know it).
The impact he left was that EVERYONE has heard of him and heard his music even if they dont realize it. his music is considered one beautiful can still be hear today. -
ludwig van beethoven
One of the most recognized classical player and again one of the most influencial probably because he went deaf and still continued to compose. a piece you might heve heard and not know it was him is Sym #5 or moonlight sonata (just look it up).
The impact he made was that EVERYONE has heard of him and heard his music even if they dont realize it. his music is still heard today. even little kids listen to it when they watch disneys fantasia. -
The Competiotion...
By the late 1700's there was a competition all over the world to see who was the first to perfect the pianoforte. from americas Steinway to the germans Karl Bechstein.
The impact this made was that it made the pianoforte really popular that every one wanted one since now there are alot brands out in the market. -
Schools Were Made
During this time England began to make school soley for the purpose of creating a piano of a stronger built (kind of what we have today).
The Impact it had is that they were experimenting on making the perfect piano that if it wasnt for them we wouldnt have the current piano we use and hear today. -
Sébastien Érard, The Piano Maker
Erard made the pianos that are the predecessor to the modern piano. The things that he made that are still used in the current piano are keyboard action, a soundboard, and a tunning mechanism,
The change it had is that it made the paino saound nicer and easier to play (still difficult). -
The Self Playing Piano
Henri Fourneaux invented the player piano which is a piano that plays itself without the need of a person.
The impact it had was that it was like a record, you would just put it on and you could hear music. -
Experiments on Synthesizers Keyboards
Yes thats right. they had been in the works for a very long time now but like the tittle says above they were just experimentsnothing had happened.
the impact of this is that it was the starting point to try to make piano affordable to everyone. -
Theodore Steinway, Another new invention
Stienway found a way called duplex scaling to increease the resonance of the piano by letting the end part of the string to vibrate freely.
The impact this had was that it increases the richness of the sound. -
Now its Serious.
it was around this time that the piano had been around for a long time that people were now intressed in the developed of the synthesizers keyboards so much that germany built a studio just for the developement of them.
the impact it had was that it was the start of the new age of pianos, the age where people can have then in there own homes like apartment instead of having a grand piano taking up half of the living room. -
The First Synthesizers
The first synthesizers was made in RCA, USA but they were really expensive and way too difficult handle.
The impact it had was that even though they were bad it help others see the mistakes and create one that atcually works. -
It Works!?
Once again the synthesizer was remade but now it actually works and are made useful!!! (music production)
The impact it had was that now people can actually buy these and make use of them and make new types of music (from classical to pop) -
New music? and Beach Boys?
this new instument came out and musicans started using it in their music like the beach boys were some of the first eventhough you couldnt really tell that it was being us. it wasnt really used till later on in the 80's it was really noticable (Rick Astley, Duran Duran, Dead or alive ect) -
Mass Production Starts
like the tittle says above it is when the piano is now really popular and everyone wants one.
the changes that this caused was that now the piano wasnt exclusivly for the rich but for everyone but now there was a big difference on how the piano was use. Classical vs pop music. -
Science and Classical Music
there has been a lot of research being done and how music effects babies. they are still making experiments but they have figure out that putting classical music for babies help them relax, and get a better sleep.
The impact it made is that now mothers put classical music on to help them take care of there kid instead of trying to get them to sleep and not succeding.
