Texas holds off Knight-less Tech 87-81
Damion James had 20 points and 11 rebounds as the No. 25 Longhorns outlasted pesky Texas Tech 87-81 at the Erwin Center for their fourth win in the last five games. The Red Raiders were playing without coach Pat Knight, who was suspended for one game by the Big 12 for criticizing officials. The Longhorns retired Kevin Durant's No. 35 during a halftime ceremony. -
LOW: Rally falls short in loss to OSU
After trailing by 17 points in the second half, the No. 24 Longhorns' comeback fell short in a 68-59 loss to Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla.

HIGH: Horns improve NCAA Tournament hopes
Dexter Pittman had 16 points and seven rebounds as the Longhorns picked up a much-needed 73-57 victory over Baylor.
In beating the Bears for the 24th time in a row, the Longhorns (20-9 overall, 9-6 in the Big 12) clinched a winning conference record, notched a 10th consecutive 20-victory season and likely wrapped up an at-large spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns blew a 14-point lead late in the first half, allowing No. 9 Kansas to rally for 83-73 victory to clinch its fifth straight Biig 12 regular-season title.

HIGH: Pittman powers Texas past K-State
Dexter Pittman had another big game, leading the fifth-seeded Longhorns to a 61-58 victory over fourth-seeded Kansas State in the second round of the Big 12 tournament.
Pittman had 19 points -- including the go-ahead basket on a power lay-up with 1:14 remaining %u2013 along with career-highs in rebounds (20) and blocked shots (four).

LOW: Baylor stuns Horns in Big 12 semifinals
LaceDarius Dunn hit a 3-pointer with 1:11 remaining and Baylor ended a 24-game losing streak against Texas with a 76-70 victory in the Big 12 tournament semifinals.
The Longhorns (22-11) had not lost to Baylor since 1998.

HIGH: Abrams' 3-point barrage leads UT past Minnesota
A.J. Abrams scored 26 points -- including eight 3-pointers -- to help Texas beat Minnesota 76-62 in the first round of the East Regional.
Damion James added 18 points and nine rebounds, and Dexter Pittman had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Texas.
Abrams broke open a tight game midway through the second half when he hit four consecutive 3-pointers during a 90-second span to put the Longhorns ahead by 15.

Longhorns fall short in Sweet 16 quest
The seventh-seeded Longhorns rallied from a late 10-point deficit in the final two minutes but came up short in a 74-69 loss to No. 2 seed Duke in the second round of the East Regional.
Reserve guard Varez Ward had a career-high 16 points for the Longhorns, who finished the season 23-12. A.J. Abrams had 17 points.
