Morse Code
The Morse code was created in 1832 by Samuel Morse. it was the first time that communication broke the distance barrier. before this, the fastest information could be transfered was 35 mph. -
early telephone
in 1870, both Alexander Grahm Bell and Elisha Gray invented the first versions of the telephone, a device that can transmit speech electronically. Grahm's invention was patented first, and it is the earliest version of the very common device that we use everyday. -
Rotary telephone
this version of the telephone used a rotary dial, which sends electrical pulses, and then dials a number to correspond with the pulses. -
Radio
Radios were first used back in 1912, by the US Navy. over the next 50 years, they were popularily used in homes as the primary source of entertainment. families would recieve all major news, listen to their favourite music, and listen to their favourite shows. now, they arent very popular, and are usually only found in cars. -
Intercom
the intercom was created in 1920 to deliver messages throughout a building or systems of buildings. -
television
the first Television was introduced in 1925, but it was not popularized in every home untill 1970. since then, tv's have grown in size and greatly improved as for as image and colour. Also, tv's are now used to play videos, video games, and music. -
cordless phone
the first cordless phone was created on june 1st 1968. it was designed to send communication waves to a base connected to a landline. it uses a headset that can be carried anywhere within the range of the base. -
cell phone

iPod
Apple introduced the first iPod on Oct 23rd 2001. It could hold 10 gb of music. This changed the way people listened to music, as it was the smallest music player. -
Iphone
the iphone was introduced on January 9th, 2007. It immediatly changed the way we view media, by combining music, coomunication and video into one convenient, handheld device.
