First Condom
In the year 1640, the oldest known condoms are found in Dudley Castle in Birmingham, England. These condoms were made of fish and animal intestines, and used to prevent STD's (and not as much for contraception). -

Rubber condoms are invented
Charles Goodyear patented rubber condoms and they were soon mass produced. These condoms were made to be used more than once. They would be washed, and put away in a wooden box for later use. -

Emergency contraception is created where women can take the pill up to 72 hours after having sex to prevent pregnancy. -
