Ptolemy was the person who first thought of the Geocentric Theory. Some people beleivred Ptolemy because he was an astronomer. He thought of the Geocentric Theory because 1. The stars would move every night. 2. people wouldn't feel the Earth move.

Copernicus was the first person to publish the heliocentric theory even though he didn't want to publish his thoughts. He got alot of his ideas from Aris tarchus of Samos.

Proved the Earth rotates around the sun and said rotated on it's axis. Also, he said the planets rotated Earth in a elliptical obit which means the planets don't rotate always in a circle around the sun, but in an oval.

Galileo is known for improving the telescope so it could mgnify 3x or even 30x. With the telescope he discovered 4 of Jupiter's moons. He also supported Copernicus's Heliocentric Theory.

Isaac Newton is known for his tree laws of motion/physics. The first one (An object at rest will stay in rest unless aforce is aplyed on it and an object in motion will stay in motion unless stoped by an opposing force.)the universal law of gravity and inertia is probably the most well known.
