The French Set up the settlement of Quebec
The French join the quest to settle in North America very late but they set up Quebec in Canada. -
French Trade
The French set up a bunch of fur trading posts in Canada and they mainly sell Beaver fur. The French make almost all of their money off of the Beaver fur trade. The French need good land so they can find lots of beavers. -
Ohio Valley Duel
The French and the British fight over an area of land called the "Ohio Valley" (Red on the Picture to the right). They both wanted it because it had extremely firtile land and it was very good to grow crops on. Both sides wanted it and neither would give it up. -
George Washington
Colonel George Washington is sent by a General in Virgina to attack Fort Duquesne with his troop of soldiers. George Washington Sets up Fort Necessity and the French attack it. After a 10 hour seige, Washington gives up and returns to Virgina. -
General Edward Braddock
General Edward Braddock leads his troop of inexperienced soldiers carrying slow and heavy artilery to Fort Duquesne for an attack. The French ambush them and destroy them all causing the attack to never happen. -
William Pitt
William Pitt becomes Prime Minister in England and he changes the tactics that the English troops are using against the French. He makes it so that all of the forces focus on Montreal and Quebec and he changes his officers from old soldiers to new young ones. -
French Victories
The French attack and claim the Fort William Henry and Fort Ticonderoga. -
The English Fight Back
The English Army takes Louisbourg and Fort Frontenac . -
English Victories and French Losses
The Enlgish Army Captures Fort Niagara and the because of the oncoming English the French Army abandons Fort Ticonderoga. -
Quebec and Montreal Falls
The English Army takes Montreal and a English officer named James Wolf leads his soldiers on a sneak attack on Quebec. James dies in the fight but the English take Quebec. This is the last time a French Flag would fly on American Soil. -
Peace Treaty
The English and The French sign Treaty of Paris. This would give England all of the Frenches American land and it would kick the French out of America forever, ending the Seven Years war or the French and Indian War.
