    The Townshend Acts put taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea.

    The Boston Massacre started out as a street fight between a “patriot” and a British soldier but soon escalated to a bigger fight between a mob of colonists and the British soldiers, 5 colonists were killed.

    The Tea Act put a tax on all imported tea coming into the Boston Harbor.

    The colonists were angry at the fact that there were taxes being put on tea, therefore during the night, the colonists snuck up onto a boat holding a load of tea and threw it all overboard.

    The Intolerable Acts were a series of "acts" that put taxes on many imported goods and had many regulations that were also involved, such as the "Quartering Act", which forced colonists to house British soldiers. Also, the "Quebec Act", which gave civil government and religious freedom to Catholics living in Quebec. Also, the "Boston Port Act", which closed the Boston port until the dumped tea was restored. The "Massachusetts Bay Regulating Act" banned all town meetings.

    The First Continental Congress meets in Philidelphia from September 5 to October 26 to discuss and resolve any issues and disagreements about the Declaration of Independence.

    This battle is also known as the "shot heard 'round the world," because it was a spark the American Revolution. The British suffered a lot of loss and the americans realized they might have a chance to win if they got into a war.

    General Howe lead his troops into battle against General Ward and General Putnam. The British suffered a heavy loss of men but was victorious because the Americans retreated due to the lack of ammo.

    The Olive Branch Petition was a letter to the British crown trying to explain what rights the colonists believed they should have in return, they will give their loyalty to the crown. But the king refused to read the petition and believed the colonists had "proceeded to open and avowed rebellion."

    George Washington lines his troops up ready to bombard Boston, then, without one shot being fired, the British retreat out of Boston.

    The Continental Congress finally agrees on the Declaration of Independence and it is sent out to the printers.

    General Howe’s troops drove General Washington’s troops out of Brooklyn and the Americans had to evacuate New York.

    General Washington’s troops against Colonel Rahl. Washington and his troops defeat Colonel Rahl and his troops. General Washington surprise attacked Colonel Rahl’s troops on Christmas day.

    A battle broke out, General George Washington’s troops against General William Howe’s troops. There were also 8,000 Hessians were also involved in this battle (on the British side). The British won this battle.

    Washington's troops camped at Valley Forge from December 19, 1777 - June 19, 1778. The troops were poorly fed, had poor clothing, and many died of diseases and the cold.

    General Cornwallis was surrounded by American troops as well as French troops and therefore surrenders.

    The Treaty of Paris ended the Revolutionary War. The United States, Great Britain, France, Spain, and the Netherlands all signed this treaty.
