Boston Massacre
In this battle some colonists gathered around the custom house to express their anger. They started pelting stones and snowballs at the soldiers. Then they insulted and dared the soldiers to fire their guns. They fired, then 3 people ended up dead and 2 were wounded. Lasting for 20 minutes. -
Tea Act
This allowed the British East India Company to sell to a directly to the colonists. Colonists had to buy from British East India Company and couldn't buy from other countries. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists geet angry about the tea act. They then dressed as indians and dumped the tea into the boston Harbor. -
Intolerable acts
Boston Harbor was closed until Boston paid for the ruined tea. Quarting act Americans had to quarter British soldiers. Massachusetts's was canceled, General Thomas Gage became the new royal governor of Massachusetts. -
First continental Congress
"First Continental Congress was a gathering of colonial leaders who were deeply troubled about the relatoinship between Great Britian and its colonies." This caused Americans to think about war with Great Britian. -

The colonists listed the rights that were being denied by them as Englishmen. Colonists cite their opposition to some acts. -

Although this battle is called, "Bunker Hill," it actually took place on Breed's Hill north of Boston in Massachussetts. In this battle the Patriots lost because they ran out of ammunition, but they proved that they can take on the British. The double amount of Patriots of the british are sacrificed. -
Battle of New York
Just so happens this happens in new York City, New York. this battle the British pushed Washington to retreat across the Delaware River. Washington's defeat made Howe's revenge, for what happened in boston, complete. -

Battle of Trenton
Happens in Trenton, New Jersey on Christmas. Washington has his army attack the Hessians, and they won. Patriots ended up taking over 900 men prisoners. -

The battle was located at Brandywine Creek in Pennsylvania. this battle Capt. Ferguson had the opportunity to kill George Washington, but chose not to. Then the British won because they made a suprise attack from behind. -
Battle of Saratoga
this battle happened in Saratoga, New York. Was the greatest victory for the Americans. Also people begin to doubt that Washington is right for the job, since Haratio Gated got the credit for Saratoga. This battle was the turning point of the war. -
Valley Forge
At Valley Forge 2,500 soldiers died of disease there. While there the soldiers were trained there. -
Battle of Yorktown
happened in Yorktown, Virginia where Patriots won. This was the last major battle of the American Revolution. Though there was a few small battles afterwards it eventually lead to the Treaty of Paris. -

This treaty was made to end the war and recognize American independence. This was the first time a colony broke away from their country. -
British capture of Charleston
In this battle the British had won after a month. this was one of the British's greatest victories but the heaviest loss for the americans. Charleston surrendered in May handing over 4 ships and some 5400 prisoners
