An all-points bulletin turned up a missing person named McCandless from eastern South Dakota, coincidentally from a small town only twenty miles from Wayne Westerberg's home in Cathage, and for a while the troopers thought they'd found their man. But this, too turned out to be a false lead. -

Wayne Hears about Alex on the radio in his truck. -
Westerberg's Call
After hearing the radio announcement, Wayne called the state troopers to offer information on Alex and at first he gets nowhere because the police were getting tons of calls from people and had no time for him. -

Wayne called the police and gave them Chirs's social security number from and old W-4 form: 228 31 6704 -
Chris's Adress
Because of the SS number given by Westerberg the police were able to find his residence in northern VA. -

The police found Chris's half brother living in Annandale VA when they tried to find his family. Chris's parents had moved to Maryland. -

Sam McCandless was asked to come into the police station to identify chris through a picture they had received from Anchrage. -

Sam identifies Chris and then takes his family to Maryland to tell his parents about Chris's death. -

"Sam McCandless received a call from a Fairfax County homicide detective." He was asked on this day to identify Chris. -
Sam's Realization
Before this call Sam had never thought that this story was about Chris. Now he is worried that this is in fact Chris. -
ANGST!
Joel didn't know what else to put for the 17th because only one thing happened on that day and he basically said it twice already just two different ways. Oh and he had to redo this whole thing 3 times because it kept closing him out of the site and deleting his whole timeline for no apparent reason. He also hopes that this will not effect his grade on this assignment. Joel hates computers . . . just incase that wasn't already understood. Joel has angst. Acutal Date: 1/11/11
