    Herbert Hoover was a very glorious president, but he is mostly associated with creating the Great Depression. President Hoover was very inspiring and he preceeded FDR.

    The reconstruction finance corporation purpose was to lend out money during the depression. At first it was only to financial, industrial, and agricultural institutions, but it expanded due to the New Deal from FDR.
  • FDR elected

    FDR elected
    FDR created the New Deal, which was meant to recuperate from the Great Depression. He created the Social Security Act and many important acts to come as a part of the New Deal.

    Adolf Hitler came to power as the leader of the Nazi Party in Germany. Hitler was a great speaker of the Nazi Party. Many Germans believed he can bring all he promises and more. The Germans thought he could end the depression in Germany from WWI

    The Great Plains which once held buffalo grass, became dug up in order to plant crops and help out farmers. FDR's plan to do so didn't quite work out and the wind blew all topsoil around and became a great hazard for the United States. Giant dust storms rose up in the Great Plains and some dust would wind up around Washington D.C.

    Father Coughlin was a priest over the radio. His show would have a touch of politics and such. During the presidential election of FDR Coughlin supported Roosevelt's ideas of the New Deal. About two years later Coughlin started to tremendously dislike the New Deal and started to talk more about politics than religion and in the end Coughlin was charged with Nazi sympathyzing.

    The Neutrality Acts were meant to keep the United States neutral prior to and during the beginning of WWI. The Japanese made it hard to maintain neutrality but when Germany declared war on the US we went into war.

    The GM sit-down strike took place in Flint, MI. The strike was centered at the heart of GM, one of the most industial companies at the time. Many workers would stop working and sit down in order to try to get more benefits.

    The New Deal comprises of many acts of legislation in the US. The New Deal is meant to end the Great Depression in the United States. FDR created it along with all the acts which will try to make life easier.
