Toddler likes to look at picture books and pat recognized pictures.Toddlers also tend to have very short memory ans almost no forethought.They show interest in new textures in rubbing fingers over surfaces. -
19 to 24 months old (physical)
At this age the toddler loves to run, jump, and climb.The toddler is able to kick large ball without stepping on it.The toddler can also throw ball overhead instead of tossing.Lacks ability to start efficiently or stop quickly while running. -
19 to 24 months old (intellectual)
Toddler begins to imitate housework.Also the toddler begins to ask for items by their actual names.Recognizes familiar pictures, knows if upside down or not.Uses two or three words together,such as "want blanket". -
25 to 30 months old (physical)
The toddler is now playing on swings, ladders, and other playground equipment.The toddler can also climb on jungle gym with fair amount of ease. -
25 to 30 months old (intellectual)
At this age the toddler becomes increasingly interested in children's tv shows. Understands cause and effect in terms of own behavior.Likes to listen to tapes and records of stories and songs. -
31 to 36 months old (intellectual)
The toddler now knowns how to verbalizes toliet needs and speaks in sentences.Uses symbolic representation in make-believe play. -
31 to 36 months old (physical)
Now the toddler can briefly stand on one foot, feed itself, walk up stairs ,open doors, and ride tricycle.Specail things the toddler can do is stand on tiptoes .
