Teapot Dome Affair
The government set asside public lands that were rich in oil at Teapot Dome, Wyoming and Elk Hills, California. Albert B. Falls managed to get the oil reverves transfered from the Navy to the Interior Department and secretly released it to two private oil companies. Sacco and Vanzetti were arrested and charged with the robbery and murder of a factory paymaster along with his guard. They asserted their innocence and provided alibis. yet the judge made prejudice remarks because they were Italian and the jury sentenced them to death. -
