Volstead act
the volstead act that established a prohibition bureau in the trasury department. The job enforced patrolling over 18,000 miles of coastline looking for illegal stills. -

This amemdment launched the era known as prohibition. Prohibition banned alcohol in all states. -

Charles Linbergh made the first non-stop trip across the atlantic ocean. He made the trip in 33 hours and 29 minutes in his 3,614 mile trip to Paris. -
Herbert Hoover elected president
Calvin Coolidge withdrew from the race and Hoover was elected. Hoover dominated the polls. -
