He founded secondary schools, and established a standardized curriculum. This provided a framework for young people to excel and differentiate themselves within a system, allowing them to progress faster. -

Humboldt University was founded in 1810 by Wilhelm von Humboldt. This model of education spread throughout Europe as a way of turning students into both scholars and citizens. This form of education was a part of the spread of Nationalism throughout the 19th Century. -
