    The War Begins
    On Saturday 6, 1973, Egyptian and Syrian forces suprise attack Israel while they celebrate the Jewish Holiday Yom-Kippur. While Egyptian and Syrian forces have a total of over 100,000 men and 1,400 tanks alone, Isreal only have a total of 500 men and 150 tanks! Also helping the Egyptian and Syrian forces , Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisa, Morroco,and Sudan help to transfer in Jet Fighter Planes, 21,000 more men, and over 1 billion dollars for Russian wepons!
  • The Invasion Starts

    The Invasion Starts
    Within 2 days of the attack, Egyptian forces have already crossed the Suez Canal and have pushed Ireal's forces back 15 miles inland. When Egyptian and Syrian forces stop pushing the Isreals back, Isreal counters them by pushing them all the way back passed the Suez Canal and are within 65 miles of Egypts capital Cairo. At the same time Isreal pushes Egypt back, they are also pushing the Syrians all the way back to 35 miles away from their capital
  • Nixon Acts out

    Nixon Acts out
    Jewish leader Max Fisher calls Nixon and urges to have a meeting at the white house where they discuss arlifting materials out to Isreal. Over night, Nixon orders several tanks along with more wepons and food to be arlifted out to Isreal. These forces help later on to regain control of almost all of Southern Golan.

    October 14 1973 is know to be the largest tank to tank battle ever. After the battle is over, Isreal estimates a loss of only 10 tanks, while Egypt has a loss of 250 - 300 tanks! After hearing the significance of what happened, Iraq and Jordan respond by sending in even more troops to help.
  • Backfire

    Backfire
    10 Arab nations of the organization Petroleum Exporting Countries announces that they will no longer export any oil untill Isreal withdraws from Arab territory. The backfire with Isreal ends up getting NATO involved with the war. NATO suggests that the war should end soon or it will be taken into their own hands.
  • NATO Acts Out

    Isreal disregards NATO's warning and completly throws Syria out of the war. NATO calls for a code 338 and 242, 338 meaning an immediate cease-fire and 242 meaning an immediate exchange of land for peace. Egypt and Isreal once again disregard NATO's word and continue to fight.
  • Soviet Union Threatens the U.S.

    Fighting still continues despite the cease fire, so NATO for the third time announces another cease fire. Even after a third cease fire is put out, Isreal and Egypt still are fighting, so the Soviet Union threatens the U.S. about sending in troops to help support Egypt. Then when the U.S. puts out a nuclear fource alert, the Soviet Union retreat the folowing day.
  • Peace at last

    Peace at last
    On November 9th, U.S. secretary of state Henery Kissenger, visits Cairo to talk about a peace agreement with Isreal. Two days later, Egypt and Isreal sign a peace agreement, but Egypt gains no land and Isreal loses no land. Egypt and Isreal exchange prisoners for the next few days as a part of the peace agreement.
  • Wthdraw Completed

    After 20 days, all forces are removed from Egypt and Syria, and the war is almost over. Isreal then complains about none of the U.S. forces retreating and then order the U.S. to make them retreat. Isreal agrees to that if the U.S. troops retreat back home, the war will be over.
  • The War is Over

    Finaly all of the U.S. troops have retreated off of Ireals land and the war ends. After 25 years of fighting, Egypt and Syria finaly get on with their daily lives and don't have to worry about any more attacks. The death estimates are around 2,500 Isreal soldiers, 3,500 Syrian soldiers, and an unknow amount of deaths for Egyptian forces.
