In 1928, Alexander Fleming invented the first antibiotic, which changed the way of life. This was known as one of the greatest advances in therapeutic medicine. This invention was used to treat many sicknesses and help soldiers get back onto their feet. -

Salt March
This was a non-violent civil disobedience act against Britain. India had to purchase their own salt from Britain which was not fair. Gandhi marched to the beach and collected salt illegally to rebel against the British. The Salt March let Britain know that the Indians were going to be a force to be against. The march urges other Indians to push for their independence. -
Hitler- Chancellor of Germany
Adolf Hitler is appointed by Paul von Hindenburg as chancellor of the Nazi party in Germany. During the reign of his third Reich, Hitler slowly built his power up. This led to the Holocaust as Hitler continued through WWII. He was under the control of 6 million Jews at one time. -
Germany- Leaves League of Nations
Germany left the League of Nations, because they were not receiving the military equality they demanded. Soon after departure, Germany increased their numbers, and prepared for battle. When Germany arranged their military, they led an attack on Poland, beginning WWII. -
Hindenburg- Crashes
In Lakehurst, New Jersey, the Hindenburg airship came crashing down, killing 35 passengers. A spark caused the hydrogen to light, leading the airship to its downfall. This led to the end of the airship era. Many are still used today, but not for transportation. -
