  • Japan Invades China

    Was a major military conflict between japan and china. China had help from the U.S., Germany, and the Soviet Union. The war was cause by Japan over controlling China and its resources and wanting to be in complete control over China.
  • Munich Conference

    The purpose of this conference was to discuss what to do with Germany and Hitlers demands. This agreement was signed by France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Czechoslovakia was not invited to this conference, therefore leaving them feeling betrayed. This conference is also know as the Munich Pact.
  • Non-Aggression Pact

    The non aggression pact of august 1939, was a pact signed by Nazi,Germany and the soviet union stating that they would not go to war with each other. Even though both signed the pact Germany later broke it. Because in june of 1941 Germany attacked the soviet union, breaking the pact. The soviets and Germany actualy helped each other out during the two years the pact was unbroken. The soviets provided materials the Nazi Germany forces needed, and Germany provided machinery for the soviets.
  • Germany Invades Poland

    German forces bombard Poland on land and in the air, as Adolf Hitler sought to regain his lost territory and rule Poland. Poland was severely under-equipped and attempted to take the Germans head-on. Britain responded with bomb raids over Germany three days later.
  • Battle Of Britain

    Continued until october 31st. The Battle of Britain ended when Germany could not gain air superiority over the Royal Air Force. Britains victory saved their country from disaster.
  • The Holocaust

    The Holocaust began in 1941 and ended 1945. It was a genocide of jews, killing over six million. And not only were Jews being killed but also Gypsies, Poles, communists, homosexuals, Soviet POWs, and the mentally and physically disabled. This led the death to around eleven million people.
  • Wannsee Conference

    The Wannsee Conference was a meeting of officials of Nazi Germany, held in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee. The purpose of the Wannsee Conference was to discuss and coordinate what they called the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question."
  • Lend-Lease Act

    The Lend-Lease act was formally named An Act to Further Promote the Defense of the United States. The U.S was to supply Great Britain, France, the Republic of China and later the USSR and other Allied nations with war material. Though the U.S. was remaining neutral in war, they continued to supply material to the countries who were.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbossa was Germany's Nazi invasion in Russia. Operation Barbarossa was the largest military attack of World War two. The german Nazi army used a war tactic called Blitzkreig.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack, from the Japanese. The Japanese Sank , and damaged many ships. Over two thousand people were killed in this surprise attack. This attack was one of the reasons why the U.S entered World War One.
  • Bataan Death March

    The Bataan Death March was the forced march of philipino, and american war prisoners by the japanese during World War two. The war prisoners were forced to stay in horrible conditions and be treated horribly, by the japanese.
  • Battle Of Midway

    The Battle of Midway was easily one of the most important Naval battles in World War two. The Japanese planned to create a trap for the U.S. aircraft carriers. The Japanese plan was handicapped when they started assuming things about what the U.S. was doing.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    The Battle of Stalingrad continued until February 2nd, 1943. The soviets defended the city of Stalingrad, and succeded.The Soviets surrounde an entire German army, and defeated them.
  • D-Day

    On 6 June 1944 the Allies landed in northern France, opening the "Second Front" against Nazi, Germany. Within Three months of this event France would be freed from Germany.
  • Battle of the bulge

    An attempt by Adolf Hitler to split up the allied armys in europe.He used a blitzkreig tactic, which used speed and surprise to attack the enemy. The allies ended up winning. Leaving the german forces short on resources, helping the allied powers.
  • Battle Of Iwo Jima

    The Battle of Iwo Jima Continued until March 26, 1945. The U.S amphibious invasion of Iwo Jima, a key island in the Bonin chain about 575 miles from the coast of Japan. Japan fought from a series of caves, dugouts, tunnels, and underground installations that were difficult to find and destroy. Almost six thousand american soldiers were killed, and over seventeen thousand were injured.
  • Battle Of Okinawa

    The Battle of Okinawa contiinued untill June twenty secong of the same year. The Battle Of Okinawa was codenamed operation iceberg. The Battle of Okinawa was also the amphibious assualt in the pacific war of World War Two. This Battle had an extremely high death rate.
  • V-E Day

    V-E Day stands for the victory in Europe. German troops finally surrendered. V-E Day had announced the definite ending of World War Two in Europe. There was no official nationwide, notification of the ending until after the afternoon.
  • The bobming of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    These events continued through August ninth. A U.S. B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. This event killed over ninety percent of the citys population.Three days later, a second B-29 dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki. This event killed around 40,000 people.
  • V-J Day

    V-J Day was the victory over Japan. This famous day where Japan surrendered, is now know as V-J Day. Technically Japan surrendered on August fifthteenth, though because of time differences it was know in the U.S. on August fourteenth. There was an official surrender ceremony on September second.
  • Warsaw Pact

    The Warsaw pact was signed in warsaw, giving it its name. The Warsaw pact was signed by members from Soviet Union, Albania, Poland, Romania, Hungary, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Bulgaria. The Warsaw pact was a defense treaty. It was created to create peace.
  • Blitzkreig

    Germany wanted to quickly defeat its enemys, and to not be in war for too long. So the German forces relyed on a tactic called Blitzkreig to try and take over Great Britain. This German invasion was know as the Lightning War. Germany ended up in a longer war then had been expectied, leading to its defeat in May of 1945
