    Great Depresson in the USA

    After WWI, USA was rich from the money from France and Great Britain. However, the stock market crashed one bad day in 1929 and caused small businesses to fau=il. banks to currupt, and the bottom class expanded. There was no middle class, only 1% of the population in the top class. This Depression was lifted when USA entered WWII because it created jobs and slowly the economy reestablished itself.

    The Night of Broken Glass, or Kristallnacht, was a night that German Reich attacked the Jews because they weren't following orders. Jews weren't allowed to own shops and the Reich punished them for boycotting their rules.

    Shortly before WWII, the Soviet Union and Germany shocked other countries by forming an alliance with each other. This created more tension for war to start and other countries began to realize that a war was coming. This pact ended when Germany invaded Poland and the Soviet Union realized they were next.

    On this day in WWII, the Allies took France back and attacked the beach of Normandy. This was a bug turning point in the war becasue of the major Allie victory.

    Pearl Harbor, or the day that will live in infamy, was a day that Japan tried to take over a naval base in Hawaii to get closer to other islands. They attacked early in the morning so that Americans wouldn't expect it.

    America wanted to end the war quickly. One of their options were to drop bombs on Japan. After the bombing of Hiroshima, America dropped Fat Man, the bomb name, on Nagasaki, Japan. This is why Japan resigned from fighting in WWII.
