  • Hitler "wins" the election

    Hitler loses the election, but puts himself into power as the Chancellor. He burns down the Reichstag.
  • Kristallnacht

    Hitler takes action in eliminating Jews from society by destroying Jewish-owned businesses and killing Jews.
  • Nazi Germany invades Poland

    Nazi Germany invades Poland, sparking WWII.
  • Panzerkampfwagen II begins to be manufactured

    The infamous Panzerkampfwagon II, a tank made by Nazi Germany, undergoes production.
  • The Blitz (The Battle of Britain was in this)

    Germany attempts to carpet-bomb strategic locations all around Britain, like London.
  • Operation Barbarossa begins

    Hitler begins to march on Russia, despite a treaty between Stalin and Hitler.
  • Operation Barbarossa ends

    Hitler's troops fail to take Russia, and withdraw back to Germany.
  • Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    In order to gain military control, Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
  • First Japanese internment camp is built

    The first Japanese internment camp, Manzanar, is built in California.
  • D-day (First part of Operation Overlord)

    Canada, U.S.A, and Britain cross the English Channel into Normandy, a region in France.
  • Battle of Iwo Jima begins

    The U.S.A goes to Iwo Jima, pushing Japanese forces back.
  • First atomic bomb is dropped on Hiroshima

    A B-29 "Superfortress" bomber, named Enola Gay, drops Little Boy, the first atomic bomb, onto Hiroshima.
  • The second atomic bomb is dropped on Nagasaki

    Another B-29 bomber, Bockscar, drops the second atomic bomb, Fat Man, on Nagasaki.
  • WWII ends
