Banned the sale of war supplies to warring nations, and said Americans traveling on ships of countries at war did so at their own risk. -
Neutrality Act of 1936
Renewed the Neutrality Act of 1935 until the following year, stopped Americans from loaning money to warring nations, but said nothing about civil wars, and selling oil or cars (companies including Studebaker sold a lot to Franco). -
Remiitarization of Germany's Rhineland
The German military went back into Rhineland, going against the Treaty of Versailles. -
Neutrality Act of 1937
Prevented Americans from traveling on ships of warring nations, prevented merchant ships from transporting weapons to warring nations, and covered civil wars. Roosevelt was able to get the Cash and Carry policy added in. -

Allowed cash-and-carry of weapons (with a license), repealed Neutrality Acts of 1935 and 1937, and prevented Americans form entering what FDR considered war zones. -

Pacific battle in which the Japanese advance on Australia is stopped by aircraft carriers. -

Americans break the Japanese code and have a huge victory over teh Japanese. The first time since 1863 that the Japanese Navy was defeated. -

Battle between the USSR and Germany. Neither wanted surrender, so there were lots of casualities. After over five months, the USSR wins. -
D-Day
Allied forces landed on the Normady coast and began attacking Germany on the Western Front. -

Largest naval battle of the war. Philipines are recaptured by the Allies and the Japanese Navy is no longer a big threat. -

Last German offensive, the Allies wer successful but many Americans died. -

Meeting between FDR, Churchill, and Stalin to discuss the reorganization of Europe once the war was over with. -

Second atomic bomb (Fat Man) dropped on Japan. -

Victory over Japan! Japan signs surrender documents, official ending WWII.
