    In 1929, German went into a wide spread unemployment and had severe economic depression. This caused the Nazis to criticize the ruling government and win elections.

    In 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed German Chancellor. This was when Germany was ruled under the Nazis.

    League of Nations Disarmament Conference Destroyed
    Hitler had destroyed the league by demanding equality of arms with France and Britain. When this happened, he had broken the Treaty of Versailles affecting Europe majorly.

    In 1935, Hitler had put together a big rearmament rally that many other nations let him get away with. This is where he was aloud to have a navy, but it had to be 35% if the British navy which is more than the 6 battleships Germany was allowed. This affected the rest of the world, because now Hitler was able to start getting his army back together.

    In 1936, Hitler moved his troops into Rhineland, which wasn't supposed to have any troops in that area. This affected Russia and France because the commanders had orders to retreat if the French army tried to get in the way. This was also another way he broke the Treaty.

    On September 07, 1940, 300 German bombers raided London as a Blitz. The bombing lasted until May the next year.

    Japanese fighter plans had flown over Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii dropping bombs. More than 2,000 American soldiers died, causing President Roosevelt to declare war on Japan the next day.

    The Battle of Stalingrad was the bloodiest battle ever. The Russians were guarding the city of Stalingrad, this was also where the Germans had to turn back and not be able to go further into Russia.

    American Marines and Soldiers made an attack on Iwo Jima, a Japanese home island. By the time this battle ended a little over a month later, 7,000 marines died while 3 times that amount of Japanese troops had also died.

    V-E Day is known as Victory in Europe day. On May 8 in 1945 Great Britain and the U.S celebrate their defeat in the Nazi war.

    The U.S dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6th, then a few days later, on August 9th dropped another atomic bomb on Nagaski. These two bombs were the first time a nuclear weapon has ever been used in a war.
