Agreement from Germany, Great Britain, France, and Italy that allowed German annexation of Sudentenland. The pact was created in an attempt to prevent war with Germany.

Stalin played a major role in the defeat of Hitler during WWII. His country was at the fore-front of Germany's attacks so he needed to turn to the Allies. At the time, Communist Soviet union was less of a threat than Hitler.

Htler's attack on Poland starts WWII

Sep 1, 1939

Polish airfields and bases are attacked by German forces. Hitler planned to use this land as living space and enslave the slavs there. The USSR would hava attempted arrival to assist Poland if it weren't for the non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union that had been agreed upon in 1939.

Neutrality Act of 1939

Made to prevent America from entering foreign wars so as not to undo their neutrality. This was fueled by the isolationist viewpoint in America.
