  • Germany's Lightning Attack (Invasion of Poland)

    Germany's Lightning Attack (Invasion of Poland)
    After signing the non-agression pact, Hitler took action on his plans to take over Poland. It was a military tactic called the Blitzkrieg (Lighting War) this tactic was first used on Poland, and this was the spark to the war.
  • War is Declared

    War is Declared
    Great Britain and France oficially declare war on Germany. Later they would become the currently known Allied Forces, in desperate hope to defend Poland, both countires having the same goal, of destroying Germany.
  • Hitler Enters France

    Hitler Enters France
    Hitler oficially enters French teritory, he entered threw the Ardennes, which was a heavily wooded forest, they moved across France from there and reached the country's northern coast with in ten days.
  • Italian Greek War

    Italian Greek War
    Conflict between the Greek's and Italian's, Mussolini set an ultimatum, and so Greece denied and went to war, if Germany would have not interveined to support the his ally Italy would have lost against Greece and British support.
  • Lend - Lease Act

    Lend - Lease Act
    Bascially, the U.S. could provide military aid to foreign nations, may it be from guns to tanks. This allowed the U.S. to provide help their side, and in the hope, eliminate the oposing side quicker, this of course, without them taking any action in the war.
  • Operation Barbosa

    Operation Barbosa
    Hitler ar the moment was in the Balkans, he decided to break the non agression pact, and the Nazi's invaded the Soviet Union. This was one of the largest German military operations, on June 22 the invasion began and as the Soviet's fled backwards, the Nazi's could not withstand the cold weather and so, casualties rose.
  • U.S. Move To Iceland

    U.S. Move To Iceland
    July 1941, The first U.S. task force is deployed in Iceland, after some time, the bloody, over sea encounters began against German U-Boats. President Roosevelt ordered for them to be shot on sight, in order to support the Allies in the battle.
  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    Attack on Pearl Harbor
    Japanese planes attacked U.S. Naval Base, (Pearl Harbor) in Hawaii, killing over 2,300 Americans. 12 U.S. Ships sank, over 160 military airplanes were destroyed over the tragedy. U.S. oficially declared war on Japan, forced U.S. to exit Isolationism.

  • Doolittle Raid

    Doolittle Raid
    U.S. Air Forces sent B-25's and dropped bombs over Japan. The raid prooved how vulnerable the Japanese were when it came to bombarding over their country. This took place 4 months after the tragedy; Pearl Harbor which toook place in Hawaii, USA.
  • Battle of Midway

    Battle of Midway
    The U.S. defeats Japan in one of the most desicive Naval Battles ever. Due to the U.S.'s adavancment in code braking, they were able to decifer an operation that would involve Japan making an Ambush on U.S. Naval Craft.
  • Battle of Guadalcanal

    Battle of Guadalcanal
    With help from the Australian side, it was possible for the U.S. to arrive to Guadalcanal. U.S. Marines launched surprise attack and took control of the air base that was currently being constructed. Both U.S. and Japan suffered a large death toll. However, Japan surrendered in Feburuary 10 1943 due to the amount of casualties, as well as naming it the Island of Death, American soldiers called it hell.
  • Normandy Landings

    Allied forces attacked Hitler, which was currently located in France, took control of 6km of France, and it was considered the start of the end in Europe, as well as Legendary Operation.
  • Battle Of The Buldge

    Battle Of The Buldge
    Operation Mist, it was an attempt by Germany to push back the Allied Forces to the frontline, West of France. The German's created a "bugle" pushing back American military forces. The American's won the battle and this would mark Germany's last military assault.

    Took place in Russia, The Allies highest ranked members of each countries took important decisions regarding the future of WWII and events post war.
  • Battle of Okinawa

    Battle of Okinawa
    Last and biggest Pacific inland battle of WWII. The air bases that projected Japanese inavsions were palced at risk, so the U.S. took immediate action. Japanese changed their tactics and involved a new dynamic named Kamekazi's which were suicide aviators.
  • Germany Surrenders

    Germany Surrenders
    Germany, finally surrenders in Reims, Paris. On April 30th Hitler commits suicide inside a bunker and ultimatley terminates Nazi's force and ideology substancially.
  • Hiroshima

    Hiroshima
    First time ever witnessed the power and explosion of an atomic bomb. Recalled as the day the world changed forever. This due to the fact of how warfare would evolve, a major change in weaponry. As well, as it being dropped on civilian filled Japan.
  • Nagasaki

    Nagasaki
    Second atomic bomb has been dropped in Japan only after the previous dropped in Hiroshima 3 days before. The casualties and rose to 70,000 civilians with in the instant dropping of the bomb.
  • Japan Surrenders

    Japan Surrenders
    On the USS Missouri, Japan oficially surrenders to the Allied Forces, bringing an end to the WWII, This after the two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
