It was a meeting between Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill in Casablanca, Morocco. They discussed their strategic plans to go against the Axis powers. -
Italy declares war on Germany
King Victor Emmanuel, leader of post-Fascist Italy, declared war on Germany Oct. 13, 1943. The part of Italy that Victor controlled was only the part that the Allies had liberated by that date. But as Allied Forces moved up the boot of Italy, more and more of Italy's resources were utilized in the Allied war effort towards Italy's former partner in the Axis. -

Operation Overlord
Operation Overlord was the code-name given to the Allied invasion of France scheduled for June 1944. Dwight Eisenhower was the main person in charge. This operation was something that no army had done before which was to have both men and equipment ready by the end of D-Day. -

The Liberation of Paris was when Paris was freed from Nazi rule. All of the soldiers were white because the British and Americans would not let the African Americans pass through the channel. -

The German army launched a counteroffense that was supposed to cut through the Allied forces and put the war in Hitler's favor. -
Yalta Conference
The Yalta Conference was in Yalta at the Crimea. Joseph Stalin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill came together to negotiate. Polland was the main debating point of this conference. -
V-E Day
V-E Day was the day of victory in Europe for the Allies in WWII. -
Nuremburg Trials
24 Nazi leaders were put on trial and charged with crimes against humanity, crimes against peace, and war crimes. Out of the 24 men, 12 of them were charged with the death penalty. The trials established an important principle that individuals must be responsible for their own actions.
