This event is seen as pivotal in the establistment of Nazi, Germany. This building was the German Parliment. When they searched the building the police found Marinus Van de Lubbe. The fire was used as evidence by the Nazis that the Communist were beginning to plot against the German Government. With the arrest of Communist the seats were empty and that's how Hitler got power.
