Germans occupy Czechoslovakia
The German Occupation of Czechoslovakia lasted from 1938-1945. One of the main reasons that Germany invaded Czech was because of the large amount of Germans living there. First germany took the western and norhtern norder regions also known as the Sudetenland. That left the rest of Czechoslovakia weakend and easily subdued. Germany than occupied the rest of Czech and they took the last part on March 16th 1939. Germany's occupation ended with Germany's surrender and the edn of WWII. -
The Soviet-Nazi Pact
The Sovier-Nazi Pact (also known as the Soviet-Nazi Non-Aggression Pact). The pact basically said that when Germany attacked Poland the Soviets would not attck Germany and help the other country. The helped Germany greatly becasue it stopped the threat of a two front war which is one of the main reasons Germany lost WWI. This also helped tho soviets because Poland would be divided with them and the Soviets would also get the Baltic states Baltic States Baltic States ( ex. Estonia and Latvia). -
Invasion of Poland
The invasion of poland happened after the Soviet-Nazi pact so that Germany could attack poland without the worry of a two front war. The invasion of poland basically signified the beggining of WWII. -
Canada Enters the War
Canada entered the war on September 10th 1939 when it declared war on Germany. Initially its efforts were restricted to suppying raw materials to European countries, especially Britain. It was Canad's firs independent declaration of war. -
The Phoney War
The phoney war didnt have an exact date that it started. It lasted from September of 1939 and ended in March of 1940. It lasted a total of 7 months and four days. The Phoney War was marked by a long period of time where there was vey little military actions made by the Western Allies against the German Reich. It happened in the months following France and Britain's declaration of war on Germany -
Invasion of Norway, Denmark, Holland and Belgium
Hitler issued the orders to invade Norway on March 1st. In the morning of April 9th Germany invaded Norway and Denmark in order to orevent a planned French-British occupation of Norway. Germany invaded Holland and Belgium on May 10th 1940. The occupation ended with the surrender of the whole nation on May 17th. -
Battle/Invasion of France
It undid everything that was declared in the treaty of Versailles. Also it may have provoked Britain and the other major forces in the world to come to war.Yet on june 22nd an armistace was signed between France and Germany which resulted in a division of France where Germany would control the North and West. The battle of France also ended the Phoney war. -

The fall of france was the day where France finally gave up. On June 22nd 1940 and armistice was signed between france and Germany giving Germnay control over North and West France. -
Battle of Britain
The battle of Britain is the name given to the air campaign made by the German air Force agaisnt the United Kingdom during the summer and autumn of 1940. It was the first major campaign to be waged entirly by air forces. -
Operation Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa was the code name for for Germany's invasion of soviet union during WWII. Operation Barbarossa was the largest military operation in human history. It failing was considered the beggining of the end for the nazis. -
The Attack on Pearl Harbour
The attack on Pearl Harbour was a surprise military strike made by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor on the morning of December 7, 1941. The attack was a huge shock to the americans and led to Americas immediate involvement in WWII.
