Germany went into Austria unopposed to any military force. They then took over. -

Germany wrote a pact that they would not fully invade Czechoslovakia but only the region filled with Germans. They then proceeded to invade the whole country. -

Germany continued on their aqquisition of land to Poland where they were told war would commence if they were to attack. Germany attacked Poland and France and the UK declared war. -

The U.S declares neutrality in the conflict raging in Europe. They do this because they belive that Hitler is a Europenian problem. -

France fell to the Nazis after being attack relentlessly for years with no end in sight. They fell from a remarkable German assalt on north-west Europe. -

The Battle of Britain was (as the name suggests) the battle for control of Britain. The allies successfully held off the German advance against the Luftwaffe. -

The U.S was upset with Japan's desision to attack China so they start a embargo (Ban) on any oil being sold to Japan from the U.S. This affected Japan heavily because they didn't have any natural resources like oil of their own. -

The attack on Pearl Harbor was a suprise attack on the U.S by Japan in an attempt to knock them out of the war before they even joined. This had teh opposite effect however due to the puplic wanting to go to war now because of it. -

The Bataan Death March was an event where the Japanese forced 60,000 to 80,000 Filipino and American prisoners of war to march through the Philippines. The March was around 65 miles long. -

The Battle of Stalingrad was an important turning point on the Eastern front because it resulted in an Soviet victory against the Germans. This is because it halted the German advance into Soviet Russia and put Germany onto the defensive and the Soviets on the offensive. -

D-Day was a very important and bloodly day in which the allies attempted to cross the English Channel and land on Germnay's taken territory. This resulted in the death of many allied troops. -

Battle of Okinawa
The Battle of Okinawa was the last major battle of WWII and the bloodiest of the pacif campaign. A fleet of 1,300 American ships and 50 British ships surrounded the island and started an invasion. -
Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima
After completing the Manhattan project the U.S. developed a new destructive weapon called the atomic bomb with the power to level cities. This was then used on Hiroshima to try and force Japan to surrender which they didn't do. -
Atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki
After Hiroshima, Japan refused to give in to the allies and surrendered. The U.S. had planned for this by having another bombing run sent before and their target was Nagasaki which was destroyed completely and caused Japan's surrender.
