Annexation of Sudetenland
Hitler wanted to take over part of Czechoslovakia so the British, Italian, French, and German leaders met in Munich to discuss. A final decision was made that if Hitler took over Sudetenland, the Allies would get a pledge of peace and this was known as the Munich Pact.

Pearl Harbor
Japan pulled a surprise attack on a U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor when the U.S. was neutral and not involved in the war. It resulted in many U.S. deaths and led to America declaring war on Japan and then soon, Germany.
