Annexation of Sudetenland
Sudetenland had many beneficial resources to Hitler including a natural border with Germany which included mountains, woods, and forests. Hitler's new goal was to take over Sudetenland after extending his power to Rhineland and Austria. It ended Oct. 10, 1938 after Germany surrendered. Pearl Harbor

The Philippines

Japanese Internment Camps
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Franklin Roosevelt built Internment Camps for the Japanese. This became one of the most atrocious violations of American Civil Rights in history. Island-hopping
A military strategy used by the Allies in the Pacific War against the Axis powers, mostly Japan, during the war. The result of island-hopping was many destroyed military bases on other islands and isolating them in the process. Battle of Midway
A battle that results in the United States destroying the Japanese first-line carrier strength and most of their best-trained pilots. This battle was mostly fought with aircraft and ended June 3, 1942. Both the battle of Midway and the battle of Guadalcanal ended any further Japanese threats to invade the Pacific. Guadalcanal
This battle was the first major offense and a decisive victory for the Allies in the Pacific theater. The U.S Marines launched a surprise attack and took control of an airbase under construction. Stalingrad
The Battle of Stalingrad was a brutal battle between Russian Forces, including Nazi Germany, and the Axis Powers during WW2. Hitler had his vision on Stalingrad because it served as an industrial center in Russia, producing many important goods including artillery for the country's troops. D-Day

Fall of Berlin
The battle began when the Soviets attacked the Germans along the Oder River near Berlin. This event is the last major battle in Europe during WW2. It was a battle between Germany and the Soviet Union. It resulted in the surrender of the German army and the end of Adolf Hitler's rule. The battle lasted until May 2, 1945. Death of Hitler
Both Hitler and his new wife were both in a secret bunker at the time of his death. Hitler simply planned he and his wife's death. He took cyanide poison and shot himself, while his wife also died of cyanide. Soon after his death, Germany surrendered to the Allies.
