Germany decided to invade Poland to prevent Poland from invading Germany. At 6 am Warsaw was invaded. Germany continued to take Poland in a matter of weeks. Germany invades France and captures France
Germany decided to attack France because the British refused Hitler's peace offering. The soldiers of France had a battle line set up for when Germany attacked, but the Germans simply took a different route. The Germans began their attack in Holland. This caused the British to evacuate from Dunkirk.

Germany bombs Britain. Battle of Britain began
Hitler wanted to be prepared to invade Britain if needed. The Germans tried to gain control of the air in this battle, but they were unsuccessful. Hitler continued to bomb Britain's planes, but Britain bombed Berlin. This caused Hitler to redirect to bombing places like London. FDR wanted to go to war, but didn't want to formally declare war. He supplied Britain with about $50 billion of war supplies. This helped Britain protect themselves in the war.

Japan decided to attack the United States because the US stopped providing Japan with oil. The entire attack only lasted 90 minutes. However, they were able to destroy many battleships, planes, etc. This event caused the United States to enter into WWII formally.

Japan decided to attack the Philippines after the attack on Pearl harbor. The United States surrendered the Bataan Peninsula to the Japanese. This made the American soldiers march to prison camps. America then decided they needed to get revenge.

Japan decided they wanted to deal one more final blow to the United States air crafts, but the U.S. deciphered the planes before they hit. Jews living in the Warsaw Ghetto revolted against the Nazis trying to deport them to concentration camps. The Nazis demolished the Ghetto to force the Jews out. This led to many other uprisings in other Jewish Ghettos.

D-Day
The United States and Britain wanted to get revenge for Germany taking control of France. British and American soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy taking the Germans by surprise. Finally Paris was liberated and the Allied Powers with victorious. This resulted in western Europe's liberation from Germany.

Battle of the Bulge
Hitler wanted to split up the allied armies by ordering a blitzkrieg through Ardennes. They Americans were taken by surprise, but were able to fight back. Towards the end of the battle the Germans began to have a shortage of fuel. This led to a draw with the allies in the west.

Liberation of concentration camps
Soviets discovered the concentration camps built by Hitler. Hitler tried to hide the evidence by destroying the camps, but it was too late. The Soviets, British, and Americans liberated Auschwitz and many other camps. This caused Germany to surrender.

Battle of Iwo Jima
American was in need of a base on the Japanese coast, so they began the battle of Iwo Jima. Japan fought through networks of caves, dugouts, and tunnels. The United States was able to defeat the Japanese after a month. The U.S. gained their base on the Japanese coast.

Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
The United States was finally ready to get their revenge on the Japanese for Pearl Harbor. They dropped two atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The biggest one being named Fat man and the smaller one being named Little boy. This caused Japanese to surrender. Thus ending World War 2.
