Attack on Pearl Harbor
Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor. They destroyed 20 American vessels, 8 enormous battleships, and a huge amount of airplanes. This lead to the death of 2,000 American soldiers dying, which elevated to President Franklin Roosevelt asking Congress to declare war on Japan.

Bataan Death March
75,000 Filipino and American troops on Bataan were forced to make a 65-mile march to prison camps. This was made in intense heat and harsh treatment by Japanese soldiers. Thousands died, which lead to naming it Bataan Death March.

Battle of Coral Sea
The Battle of Coral Sea was the first air-sea battle in history. Japanese wanted to control Coral Sea and invade Port Moresby on New Guinea, but they were stopped by Allied forces.
