Germany seeks to gain full control of Poland by Hitler's blitzkrieg strategy (excessive bombing). Through air and on land, the Nazis terrorize the Poland population. Any civilian that undermines Hitler's power were sent to concentration camps. Although Poland was 1 million men strong, they lacked sufficient equipment. The invasion ended with the Ribbentrop-Molotov Nonaggression Pact. This event is important because it is the start of WWII in Europe.
