Germany's Invasion of Poland
Germany invaded Poland. Hilter Claims it was a defensive action but Britain and France were not conviced. Britain and France declared war on Germany, intiaiting WWII. To Hitler Poland would bring more "living space" for Germany. -
Fall of Paris
Germany entered Paris and invaded. Germans wanted more territory. Led to the fall of french republic. -
Pearl Harbor
Japense planes attacked the US naval base at Pearl Harbor. They wante to neutralize the US Pacific Fleet and protect Japan. Killed 2,300+ Americans and destoryed US battleships. -
Battle of Midway
It was a naval and air battle which planes from American aircrafts blunted the Japanese. It happened because of Pearl Harbor. Japan lost carriers, crusiers, 292 aircrafts and suffered 2500 causlities. -
D-Day (Normandy Invasion)
Allied powers crossed English Channel and landed in beaches of Normandy. It was to end WWII and the Nazi domination in Europe. Ended Gemany/Hitler, forced Germany to fight. Hitler killed himself. -

Battle of Bulge
An attempt to push Allied front line west from northern France. Germany was trying to make a comeback. But it ended with Germany lossing more than they could take. 30,000 soliders died, 44,000 infantry forces died. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
One third of all Marine losses happened here. The US Marines landed on and eventually captured the island from the Japanenese. The American invasion had the goal of capturing the entire island. 26,000 American deaths. -
Battle of Okinawa
Bloddy battle, the allies invaded the island and bombed it. We needed island for the planed invasion. 12,000 American deaths, 90,000 Japan deaths, 150,000 civilanes died. -
VE Day
Germany's armed forces surrendered and it was known as Victory ibn Europe Day. Hitler killed himself. End of war and was a "holiday" for Europe. -
Dropping of the Atomic Bomb
US dropped 2 atomic bombc on Japan. Quick end to war, only way to force Japan to surrender. Marked the end of WWII. 130,000 died. -
VJ Day
President annonced Japan's surrender. War was officaly over. Celerbration " Victory over Japan Day".
